What would you choose to make a film about?

I answered this question when I was a little girl and I think reality shows took my idea!

I remember watching some of my parent's drunk friends fight over keys to a car because she wanted to drive in her condition.

He took her keys but she ain't let em go without a fight.

He had a bottle of spirits inside him and one of them shoes that is taller than the other so he lost his balance and took her down with him

Like an intoxicated Jack and Jill they went rolling down a hill!

This was the hill of a house in the hood so it was concrete and had jagged cracked foundation

Her face was busted up and so was his and as a teenager having to watch that while left alone with these people I thought..

" My dream is to record them while they are in these moments. And use it as a key tool in their recovery"

If I made a film it would be a documentary with raw footage and would be unedited. Sort of like my news story!

If could report the news in your world, what would you share?

Question is relevant to me because I have been watching the news a lot lately but more as a critical thinker. Also I am working on a community project and a dude from Fox wants to air it. I mentioned it to a lady that I know because she works with youth and I wanted to know if she would have her kids on the news.

She shot that down quickly! She said she wouldn't put them there because they will be presidents and very important people and she doesn't want people to trace back and say this is where you came from. She said she doesn't flaunt their souls like that.

I have been on the news for my work so I know that I would share that. I just did an interview today  that will go to print next week and I told her a lot of truth and she knows my real deep views on things so I trust her to be able to put the truth out there. I publicized my blog on the the net so people have a real good idea about personal things I go through.

There is also a very human part of me that doesn't want to become a target either because the thing about the news is that you don't know who is watching. You also don't know why they are watching. I feel like if you are going to be a public figure you have to be doing things honestly and openly . When I live life I live it like my creator is watching because I believe my creator is watching at all times. I share the truth because the truth in my opinion has no consequence.

People spoke the truth and got knocked into existence (killed) and some people may call that a consequence. I think that a part of living an open and truthful life is to say the things that you may think or feel that other people may not openly accept or agree with. If it is truth you should voice it because that is the only way someone can disagree with you and give you evidence. Personally I don't mind if people trace back and look at where I came from because before I came from drug addicts and single mothers, I came from a line of kings and queens. So for haters and people who want to report the dirt I tell them trace that!

Short answer to that simple but complicated question is that if I could report the news in my world, I would share truth. I would speak like anyone is listening (children, adults, grandparents). I would get as deep down to the nitty gritty truth about who I am and If I have it my way it's unedited.

Posted on Apr 30th, 2008 by Taurusun : Authentic and Hopeful Taurusun
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for April 30, 2008:

When asked, I would like to consistently say yes to questions like...
"Is your house clean?"
"Have you finished all your homework"
"Have you meet your deadlines at work?"
"Are you following your routine?"
"Are you happy with your life?"

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 21, 2008:

The hardest thing to change is the time because nobody really knows it but we all have clocks that we rely on to be accurate.

When have you cried from happiness?

Posted on Apr 27th, 2008 by Taurusun : Authentic and Hopeful Taurusun
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for April 27, 2008:

Every time I go visit my son's father in jail, I cry on the way home. I used to cry because it hurt me that I could not take him home and take away some of his pain. I now cry because I am so blessed to have him and I am so happy that our love is so intense that I can feel it on the drive back.

I cry from pain into happiness quite often. Sometimes I cry during phone sex when he keeps probing and making me speak. He knows that it hurts me to not have him like I want him. He knows that i need to release. He knows how to make me cry. He knows how to make me beg. He knows this makes me happy because these are the things I suppress. After I have cried and the phone call is over he knows I go to the mirror and wipe my tears and smile because my tears have purified my skin and this makes me happy!

How can we best prepare our children for the future?

Posted on Mar 24th, 2008 by Taurusun : Authentic and Hopeful Taurusun
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for March 24, 2008:

We can best prepare our children for the future by keeping it real with them in the present. We have to stop beating around the bush with our children and give them clear and accurate answers to their questions. We have to teach them to be agents of change in their youth. Stop programing their minds with television and get them to appreciate the real world that is outside. We have to teach them the importance of self expression and community involvement. We have to open up lines of communication between ourselves and our children so that they feel like they can come to us first as they grow up and deal with the pressures of the real world. We must educate them by teaching them where to look for answers to their questions. We must teach them to care for others and not force them to be who we want them to be or who we were not. Instead we must embrace who they are and allow them the freedom to love who they are.

What's your relationship to your body like?

Posted on Mar 24th, 2008 by Taurusun : Authentic and Hopeful Taurusun
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 17, 2007:

I used to be in an abusive relationship between myself and my body.
Myself would make my body do things that it did it's mind did not want to do.
Myself was like a pimp.
Myself allowed many uninvited guests into my body and did not think about the consequences.
Myself neglected my bodies need.
Myself allowed my body to be incomplete and insecure
Myself was abusive.

Today

Myself has become more enlightened and sees itself as I.
I have learned that my body is a temple and that God will not dwell in an unclean temple
Therefore I will not dwell in one either.
I have learned that my temple has the power to clean itself from the outside to deep down within
I have found a respect for my temple and require the same respect of the people I let in
Mentally, physically, spiritually and emotionally I am piecing together my whole.
I am active and fit and eat healthy and now see my body as the most valuable resource that I have.

I have learned the true meaning of transformation.
